Angela Glover – Message from Karen Schade
We have heard the heartbreaking news that our beautiful friend and colleague Angela Glover has passed away after trying to save her dogs from the tsunami in Tonga.
Many of us in the SPAW community knew Angela, and we feel her loss immensely.
Angela touched so many lives both human and animal through the selfless work she did for the Tonga Animal Welfare Society, which she co-founded, and in volunteering during SPAW clinics in the Kingdom. Words cannot adequately express what her loss means to us.
Together, she and James spent much of their own time and resources caring for homeless and sick animals. When SPAW was on island, Angela and James were there by our side helping in any way they could. When SPAW was not on island, there were phone calls and emails exchanged as we worked with them to assist animals in need remotely. Angela would spend hours helping to rescue or locate an animal in need and James was right there with her.
Angela was one of a kind. She loved animals, especially dogs, more than most people are capable of. She and James are part of our SPAW whanau and our deepest condolences go out to James, their whanau and friends.
Rest in eternal peace Angela. You will be so greatly missed and never forgotten.
