SPAW looks forward to seven clinics in 2026
With seven clinics confirmed for 2026, South Pacific Animal Welfare (SPAW) is gearing up for another busy year.
Founder Karen Schade says the SPAW team are well underway with planning for the clinics, which are spread throughout the year in Samoa and The Kingdom of Tonga.
“This will be our 16th year in operation and each year now we are treating thousands of animals at our clinics while our telemedicine service continues to grow as well,” Karen says.

“We are lucky to have such an incredible group of volunteers who return time and time again to help the communities of the South Pacific and we are continuing to welcome new volunteers, who we hope will become part of the wider SPAW family.”
Karen says partnerships and support are crucial to the level of service SPAW is able to offer.
“Once again this year, we are truly thankful to our Premium Partner Zoetis, our Impact Partners and those who donate money, products or skills. We also couldn’t do what we do without our on island partners who help us with coordination and getting the word out.”
“In this scheme of things, we are a tiny charity but the impact we make can not be underestimated. I’m so proud of the work everyone contributes to improve the lives of animals in need.”
